|
Substance abuse and domestic or intimate partner abuse often intersect in ways that create complex challenges for survivors. While substance use never causes abuse, it can intensify the danger survivors face and be used as a tool of control. A Heartfelt Thank You and Good-bye!
|
We’d like to take a special moment to thank our departing Board President, Lauren Wieser. Lauren has been part of the Turning Point Board of Directors since 2019 and has led as Board President since October 2023. During her six years of service, she has shared not only her professional expertise in finance and accounting, but also her compassion and commitment to our mission.
When asked about her time with Turning Point, Lauren shared:
"I am passionate about Turning Point because they go above and beyond to help our community every day. Turning Point provides people with a safe and welcoming place to go, and that is something every person deserves to have."
We are so grateful for Lauren’s leadership, heart, and dedication. She will be missed, and we wish her nothing but the very best in her future!

"Is Love So Small a Pain?"
|
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is partnering with Touchstone Theatre to present an interactive staged reading of “Is Love So Small a Pain?”, a powerful adaptation of the classic Greek tragedy Medea.
Medea’s experience comes alive through several points of audience participation guided towards shaping choices, replaying moments, and influencing outcomes. This unique performance will explore the complexities of abuse, trauma, and survival in relationships. Together, we’ll reflect on the warning signs of abuse and the difficult realities that survivors often face.
Your presence matters! Save the date for this impactful evening and be part of the change, reserve your pay-what-you-will ticket today to support our survivors and our mission! For more information and to reserve your ticket, visit this website.
