In-Person AND Virtual (Hybrid) Training: “Faith in Action: Empowering Faith Leaders to Identify, Address, and Support Survivors of Domestic and Intimate Partner Abuse”

December 3 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Learn to recognize signs of intimate partner abuse to protect and support survivors and their children in a trauma-informed way within your faith community.

Full Description: Faith, spirituality, and faith-based communities can often be an integral piece of the supportive puzzle for our survivors; however, they can also keep survivors further isolated in the shadows. Faith leaders and community members can be a vital part of a survivor’s healing journey. This training will help build awareness and train your faith leaders and community members to recognize warning signs of those in abusive relationships. We will provide awareness education around the scope of the issue, and guide participants on how to safely refer survivors and their children to local resources in a trauma-informed and survivor centered-way. NOTE: This training session will be held both in-person and online.
