Position: Transitional Housing Director
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt, Salary $50,000 - $63,000

Are you looking for a job where you can help survivors of domestic and intimate partner abuse find safe housing? Turning Point of Lehigh Valley has an opening for a Transitional Housing Director.

The Transitional Housing Director is a supervisory-level position responsible for service delivery of Turning Point of Lehigh Valley’s Transitional Housing programs. This includes, relocation, Rapid Rehousing, Vouchers, and any other funding source or programs available to Turning Point of Lehigh Valley’s residential and community clients. The Transitional Housing Director will ensure distribution of transitional housing funds is made in a trauma informed and client centered manor, and in compliance with all state local, and federal standards. This position manages the legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance of transitional housing programs, ensures timely and accurate data gathering and analysis to improve Turning Point’s services, and collaborates with other community agencies to promote the mission of Turning Point. This position will spend approximately 30% of work time on program supervision and administrative duties and an average of 70% of work time conducting direct service and case management activities.

This position requires initiative, independent judgment, flexibility, problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills. Level 1 represents the basic expectations of the position, with Levels 2 recognizing a high level of proficiency and the regular assumption of management-level responsibilities.

The Transitional Housing Director position is full-time, exempt position. Position pay is $50,000-$63,000 and we are currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus. You will also have access to health, dental, vision, 401K, life, and disability benefits.

A minimum of three years' relevant work experience which includes casework, counseling supervision, and/or victim's services experience in social services or related field. Minimum of two years' supervisory experience with a working knowledge of human resource management principles and degree in social services is preferred. You should be comfortable using computer programs to manage client information and be familiar with tools like Zoom or Teams for virtual communication. Preferred candidates will be fluent in English and another language. You will need reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Position: Youth Prevention Advocate Position Type: $20.40/Hr. Full-Time, Non-Exempt, SomeWeekends 

Are you ready to make a difference? Turning Point of Lehigh Valley has an immediate opening to assist youth throughout Lehigh & Northampton Counties by providing group educational programs in middle and high schools and helping students to understand healthy and unhealthy relationships. 

The Youth Prevention Advocate conducts prevention education and community education activities in a trauma-informed manner. Primary responsibilities are in providing educational programs to youth in school and community settings and participating in events throughout the community. The ideal candidate has experience presenting in front of large groups of people, experience working with teens from various backgrounds, engaging in policy development, and is equally comfortable working with administrators, educators and students. This position requires availability during evening and weekend hours, as necessary, to meet community needs. 

The Youth Prevention Advocate position is a full-time, non-exempt position. Position pay is $42,000/yr, and we are currently offering a $1,000.00 sign-on bonus. The successful candidate is flexible, responsible, sensitive to trauma and cultural diversity issues, and passionate about serving those experiencing abuse. Must have a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience in social service, education or a related field. Must be adept at client database management. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Preferred candidates will be fluent in English and another language.
