Be a Mentor
You can make a difference and inspire our community.
The voices and real-life experiences of survivors are crucial to our work to end domestic and intimate partner abuse as well as part of the healing process. My Turning Point Mentors program gives survivors an opportunity to utilize their experiences to empower other survivors.
There are many opportunities and different ways this can be accomplished. Possible contributions for mentors may include but are not limited to, creating artwork that shapes your experience, speaking alongside outreach at education events, speaking at empowerment groups to other survivors, working with our Youth Empowerment Alliance, reaching out to legislators, attending tabling events representing Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, assisting with our annual vigil, and more.
We recognize that all survivors’ experiences differ, as does their healing process. The My Turning Point Mentors Program allows mentors to participate in ways that are the most empowering for the mentor.
