Director of Advancement
Hybrid – Lehigh Valley, PA
Full-Time | Exempt
Starting Salary: $65,000
Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Director of Advancement to lead our fundraising, donor engagement, and communications efforts. This is a key leadership role that supports our mission to eliminate domestic and intimate partner abuse through empowerment, education, and advocacy.
What You'll Do
- Lead a small team to implement comprehensive fundraising strategies that support programs and services.
- Manage all aspects of:
- Annual Requests (targeting $500,000+ net),
- Major Gifts (e.g., endowment contributions, named program sponsorships),
- Campaigns and Planned Giving.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Oversee donor communications, recognition, and engagement.
- Monitor and analyze fundraising data to inform strategy.
- Manage agency branding and messaging across digital and print platforms.
- Supervise a team of 3 advancement staff.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board Development Committee, and Education & Training Director.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including success in securing major gifts and grant writing.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Virtuous, DonorPerfect) and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual fluency (English + another language) preferred.
- Commitment to trauma-informed practices and the empowerment philosophy.
- Valid PA driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.
- Access to a quiet, private remote work location for hybrid work.
