Client Advocate
In-Person – Lehigh Valley, PA
Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $21.50
Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is seeking a compassionate and driven Client Advocate to join our team in supporting survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to trauma-informed care, empowerment-based advocacy, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families in our community.
What You'll Do
- Respond to helpline calls by providing crisis counseling, safety assessments, information, referrals, and follow-up coordination
- Provide short-term empowerment counseling and advocacy services
- Conduct in-person sessions at rotating community locations and Turning Point facilities, as well as virtual sessions
- Complete comprehensive intakes, including demographic and victimization documentation
- Develop individualized safety plans and goal plans with clients
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation (within 24 hours of service delivery)
- Coordinate referrals and advocate with external agencies (with appropriate consent)
- Assess housing needs and determine eligibility for transitional housing services
- Track service data to meet agency and grant reporting requirements
- Participate in helpline and office coverage as part of the direct service team
- Attend staff meetings, supervision, case reviews, and agency events
- Assist with additional duties in support of Turning Point’s mission
What We're Looking For

- Comfort working in fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage documentation and notes accurately and timely
- Willingness to work occasional evenings as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Ability to travel to community locations
- Bilingual fluency preferred
Training and Support
- 45 hours of paid New Advocate Training within the first month of employment
- Required 10 hours of ongoing training related to domestic and intimate partner abuse

Family Advocate
In-Person – Lehigh Valley, PA
Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $21.50/hr
Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Advocate to provide trauma-informed, empowerment-based support to families impacted by domestic and intimate partner violence. This position focuses on family-centered advocacy, case management, crisis intervention, and coordination with community partners to promote safety, stability, and wellness for caregivers and children.
Family Advocates work closely with families to provide direct services, support, and advocacy, empowering them to navigate systems, access resources, and achieve their goals.
What You’ll Do
- Provide trauma-informed, empowerment-based direct services to families experiencing domestic and intimate partner violence
- Conduct intakes, assess family needs, and develop goal plans with caregivers and children
- Offer individual and group empowerment counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and referrals
- Maintain timely and accurate case notes and service documentation (within 24 hours of service delivery)
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding appointments and follow-up needs
- Coordinate supportive services, including educational needs, transportation, and IEP-related supports
- Ensure school-aged children are enrolled and connected with Homeless Liaisons within required timeframes
- Model and promote positive, nurturing interactions between adults and children
- Facilitate and coordinate a minimum of four monthly psychoeducational workshops and family-focused events
- Collaborate with Child Protective Services and fulfill Mandated Reporter responsibilities
- Work closely with school districts, Homeless Liaisons, and other family-serving community partners
- Participate in Helpline coverage, supervision, team meetings, and all-staff meetings
- Assist with additional duties in support of Turning Point’s mission

1,000 Sign-On Bonus
Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is seeking compassionate and reliable Hotline Advocates to provide trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse. This is a remote, stipend-based position ideal for individuals seeking flexible, supplemental income while making a meaningful impact.
What You'll Do
- Answer hotline calls and provide crisis counseling, safety planning, and referrals
- Offer trauma-informed, empowerment-based support
- Document calls and demographic information accurately
- Assist callers with immediate needs such as hotel placement or transportation when appropriate
- Coordinate follow-up appointments with Client Advocates
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency policies and professional standards
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and crisis response skills
- Commitment to trauma-informed practices and the empowerment philosophy.
- Ability to work remotely in a private, confidential setting
- Reliable phone and internet access
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.

The on-call stipend compensates for availability. Time spent actively responding to calls, completing documentation, or performing hotline-related duties is compensated at a rate of $21 per hour.
