(Virtual Webinar) The Intersection of Intimate Partner Abuse and Brain Injury
Brain injury among survivors of domestic and intimate partner abuse is incredibly prevalent. Often, abuse injuries can occur to the head, neck, and face region, making the likelihood of a brain injury in survivors probable.
After attending this training, participants will understand the prevalence of brain injury among DIPA survivors, familiarize themselves with the HELPPS screening tool for brain injury, practice the PEARR trauma screening method for domestic and intimate partner abuse, as well as review Turning Point’s services and how to refer clients in a trauma-informed way.
