Event Description: This 30-minute microlearning session will briefly highlight the important dynamics around domestic and intimate partner abuse (DIPA), and expand on the principles of trauma-informed care, focusing on the unique needs of individuals affected by domestic and intimate partner abuse.

We will discuss a few strategies for creating a safe, supportive environment, recognizing trauma responses, and fostering empowerment in survivors. This session is ideal for those in social services, healthcare, and advocacy roles, and equips learners with additional tools to provide compassionate, effective care to those navigating the impact of abuse.
